Day 3 of competition of the Commonwealth Games, and the South African 'Blitzboks' Rugby Sevens team has arrived on the Gold Coast.
The Team Relay Triathon and Para-Triathlon were also held at the Broadwater Parklands in Southport

Final day of the Quiksilver Pro (Men) and Boost Mobile Pro (Women) at Duranbah
The first leg of the World Surf League Championship Tour, the event had to be moved from the iconic Snapper Rocks around the corner, and across the border, to Duranbah Beach due to lack of suitable waves
The Men's event was won by Italo Ferreira from Kolohe Andino
The Women's event was won by Caroline Marks from Carissa Moore
Ironically, the 2020 event was to be renamed the Corona Open, and has now been cancelled
On This Day: 9th April 2016 - Queensland Reds v Highlanders (Super Rugby)
The Reds got out to a flying start, scoring three first half tries (Liam Gill, Nick Frisby & Samu Kerevi) to lead by 22 - 7 at the break.
The Highlanders fought back in the 2nd Half with tries to Aaron Smith, Malakai Fekitoa & Lima Sopoaga)
Jake McIntyre's boot was the difference with a drop-goal and 2 second half penalties, giving the Reds an exciting upset win 28 - 27
