2018 Quiksilver Pro - Round 3

Was able to get down to Snapper Rocks to see the first few heats of Round 3 of the 2018 Quiksilver Pro. Worked out well as I was able to see one of Mick Fanning's last outings as a professional surfer. Mick will retire after the Rip Curl Bells Beach event next month.

Free Surf

Lots of people out early, to squeeze in a surf before Snapper Rocks competition area was closed to the public, including Mick Fanning and a few other professionals.

Round 3 - Heat 1 - Owen Wright v Willian Cardoso

Owen Wright progressed to Round 4 defeating the big Brazilian, Willian Cardoso. Wright also won his Round 4 heat later that day, to go through to the Quarter Finals.

Round 3 - Heat 2 - Mick Fanning v Conner Coffin

Mick Fanning won his heat against young American Conner Coffin, but unfortunately was knocked out in Round 4, in his final Quiksilver Pro at Snapper Rocks.
