I wasn't able to get to one of the ANZAC Day Dawn Services, but still wanted to do something to commemorate the day. I read on @igersgoldcoast Facebook page that the RAAF were doing a fly-past of the Coast around 11am.
Decided The Spit might be a good spot, and be able to include the Surfers Paradise skyline in the background. Worked pretty well, and there were actually 2 x F/A-18F Super Hornets doing the fly-past, so that was an unexpected bonus
Lest We Forget.
The Spit was the busiest I've ever seen it, with both car parks (Doug Jennings Park, and Public Boat Ramp) over-flowing. Everywhere you looked there were Surfers, Fisherman, Jet-Skis, and Dog walkers.
